• Firefox version 3.x for randomly locking up several seconds at a time.
• Pigskin bbq restaurant in Ridgeland, MS since new ownership decided to not serve pork bbq for lunch and also for replacing bbq sauce with pan drippings
• Hedge funds
• Banks that won’t loan money to Americans, but are OK with buying out Chinese banks. I’m looking at you, Bank Of America.

Giant spider eats bird November 8, 2008

This giant mammoth spider in Australia has been photographed eating a bird (now the whole bird). An Australian news wire report claims it is real. The mammoth spider can grow to be larger than a human hand.

St Jude’s marathon October 22, 2008

The three year old daughter of a friend of mine, Sydney Duckworth, is fighting brain tumors with the help of St Judes Childrens Hospital in Memphis. I’ve met Sydney and she is a wonderful little girl and a real trooper. Her story is here. Thank the Lord progress has been made and by His glory and grace one day Sydney will be perfectly healthy.

Sydney’s dad, Gerald, sent me this message regarding a marathon to benefit St Judes.

Just wanted everyone to know that there has been a team formed to run the St Jude Marathon on Dec. 6th 2008 in honor of our Sydney. Melanie Freeland is heading up the team, She has set up the team website. It has a little bit of Sydney’s story on it. Please support this, even in these tough financial times. I could never explain how awesome St Jude is, the care Sydney gets there is like nothing you could ever imagine. It truely is an amazing place.
