You’ve probably heard by now the US Navy shot down a runaway satellite in outer space using a missile launched from a Navy ship. “Shot down” is an overstatement. The missile more or less positioned itself in the way of the satellite which was traveling at 17,000 mph. Not exactly the same thing as shooting down a missile like Ronnie envisioned, but pretty dang close.

In recent trips to Toys-R-Us, I’ve noticed a cute minimalist video gaming trend, the self-contained video game. These thing are an inexpensive (and low quality) alternative to expensive game machines like Xbox 360 and the expensive games to go with them. For about $25, you could purchase a TV-ready joystick with a single built-in game. No cartridges necessary. The plug the joystick into a TV and start playing. Enter, this…
I give you, “Star Wars Plug & Play“. This thing is worth buying for the joystick alone. Ever seen a Millennium Falcon joystick? I haven’t either. Check out the screenshots for the game inside. Not too bad.
